They opened the worlds first electronic floor for "locals" in 1998.
We have been backing traders on the floor since 1995, and have backed and facilitated traders on computers since 1998. Futex is firmly committed to teaching graduates the skills required to become a successful trader. Futex has a wealth of experience from both its own traders and those companies that we are linked with. This knowledge has helped us create a professional high quality trading environment to compete with any other trading office.
Futex concentrates on Futures and FX markets traded via LIFFE, Eurex, Euronext, CBOT, CME, ICE and the IPE.
Paolo Rossi - Executive Chairman
Paolo has been a government bond trader since 1990. Specialising in futures, he became one of LIFFE's leading participants in the bond futures markets by the end of the 90s. With a keen eye on the derivatives industry he was a major partner in the worlds first trading arcade for locals in 1998.
Now, as founder and chairman of Futex, he has made it his goal to achieve new levels of excellence in derivatives trading; establishing trading floors second to none, and providing training programmes for new talent that are the envy of the futures and options world.
Mark Rossi - Managing Director
Mark started in the late 1980s trading Japanese equity warrants for an investment bank and a brokerage house. In 1992 he diversified into the futures market and began trading on the LIFFE floor, initially specialising in bond futures, and later expanding into both equities and currencies.
As Managing Director he is now responsible for keeping Futex at the forefront of the industry with both the latest technology and the latest training techniques.
Daniel Goldberg - Director
Daniel has been trading Futures since 1995. He was one of the first locals to move from the LIFFE floor to electronic trading having had much success on LIFFE's APT screen.
He has since been successful in trading a variety of markets on a variety of trading platforms and is still actively trading. Now, as Futex's Director of Business Development, he is always looking to keep Futex ahead of the rest.
David Dukes - Training
Whilst completing his degree in Business and Economics, David developed a keen interest in the financial markets and gained initial exposure through the use of SpreadBetting and CFDs. Having gained experience across a variety of markets he then joined Futex in 2005 and, after successfully completing their Graduate Training Scheme, went on to specialise in German fixed income futures.
Alongside his personal trading David is responsible for the training and mentoring of our graduate intake. His commitment to providing new recruits with the highest quality of training ensures that Futex remains the market leader in the identification and development of new trading talent.
Piers Bullock - Training
Piers originally trained as a Marine Biologist before working with the Japanese government for a number of years. On returning to London and the City his diverse experience and love of the markets meant he found an ideal fit with the Futex culture.
Regularly trading both equity and bond products, and himself trained by traders rather than academics, he has a keen understanding of how to get the best from new talent. With previous experience of training and the use of methodology such as NLP, new trainees are ensured a sound introduction to trading and effective support as they are nurtured along the path to consistent profitability.
