We are currently recruiting graduates to join our successful Proprietary Trading Team with a Futex Scholarship. This means that all your Trading Floor Training costs with the Futex Academy are fully paid for by Futex. This would include simulator trading with intense mentoring from not only the Academy team but also Futex's highly experienced traders. You are then fully backed by Futex to trade a LIVE trading account.

We will give you a comprehensive introduction to a career in futures trading and ensure that you are trained to a proven Futex Academy standard. We will provide you with every opportunity to develop a career as a consistently profitable futures trader.

Futex -Remuneration

Expenses Paid to Trainee: £500 per month for the first 3 months which will be extended for a further 2 months dependent on performance reviewed on a monthly basis.

Profit splits: After training your income will be generated by our very generous split of your trading profits commencing on 50/50 split basis and rising the more successful you become.

The recruitment process for Futex Scholarships is conducted over 4 stages:

  • Submit a C.V. for consideration
  • Assessments are conducted online
  • 1st round interview
  • Final interview

Upon successful completion of the Trading Floor Training, graduates will be offered a live trading account and full financial backing from Futex.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q. When do the training courses commence:

  • Answer. The planned in-takes for 2013 are 14th January, 8th April, 15st July & 14th October

Q. Where does the training take place?

  • A. The location will be our Woking, Surrey office. 25 minutes from Waterloo Station, Central London. Fast trains every 10 minutes.
  • In due course you will be expected to work out of either our Surrey or London offices

Q. How long does the course run for?

  • A. The course is for 3 months. However, there is no guarantee you will go-live after 3 months. It may be quicker or take a little longer, it is purely down to your personal performance.

Q. At what time do I start and finish?

  • A. 5 days per week,  Monday-Friday, with 6.45am starts and finishing after 5pm

 

Q. Who will train me?

  • A. Throughout your training period (and your trading career) both in the classroom and on the trading floor you will be coached and mentored by a member of our highly competent team

Q.  Am I an employee or self-employed?

  • A. You will be classified as self-employed. Therefore, you will be responsible for your own tax affairs

Q. Do Futex pay me expenses?

  • A. Expenses paid to trainee: £500 per month for the first 3 months, which will be extended for a further 2 months depending on performance. This is reviewed on a monthly basis.

Q. Do I need to be FSA registered?

  • A. You are not required to be FSA registered as you are not handling client’s funds

 

Q. I have heard there are fees that some firms charge from day 1:

  • A. Futex takes the financial risk, you are therefore not financially liable for the fees. All desk fees and clearing fees are only charged to your trading account once you go-live.

Q. Is there a contract?

  • A. There will be a joint contract between Futex and yourself.

Q. What do I trade?

  • A. Trading will be on the international Futures Markets.  The particular product you will trade will be set and agreed jointly between yourself and the trainer.

Q. Can I take money out of my account?

  • A. When you become profitable you will be able to withdraw funds on a monthly basis.

Q. What are the average earnings of a trader?

  • A. In the early days of your trading career we will coach you to make between £400-£500 per day. How quickly you can progress from there will be down to your own personal drive and ambition. There is no limit to your success; your earnings potential is down to your own skill and ability. It is Futex’s role to ensure you maximise your true potential.

Q. How long before I am profitable:

  • A. Your progress will be fully dependent on your performance. Futex will ensure you go-live as soon as you are ready, usually between 3-9months

Q. What is the success rate of Futex Trainees?

  • A. Futex achieves 90% of trainees getting onto the live market.  Trading is not without risk.  Fortunately for you, Futex takes care of the financial risk in the early days of your career, thus removing that potential concern.  Futex invest a considerable amount of resource in ensuring we recruit those candidates that we believe have the best opportunity to succeed. Futex also invests a considerable amount of funds into each trainee and we ensure you get the maximum opportunity to succeed. Therefore it is important to us you succeed.
